I never thought I would be a blogger. I actually use to make fun of people who blogged, but here I am. My name is Becca Holt and I'm a 25 year old Country Music aficionado. I grew up in a very normal blue collar family where I loved dogs, sports, playing outside, country music, and the USA. As I got older and all my friends followed whatever rap/hip-hop/pop music was popular, I stuck to true to what spoke to me. This was Country Music. Both my parents also liked Country Music, which is where I was first introduced to it. My mom wore out the Sara Evans & Brad Paisley CDs she kept in the car, and my dad would turn up every Sugarland, Lady A, & Toby Keith song that came on the radio. These are just some of the artists that introduced the soul and truth behind country music. They all were great storytellers, and that is what will allow Country Music to stand the test of time.

Throughout my short 25 years, I've experienced some highs and lows, but for each moment, there's a country song. No matter the peer pressure or hate I receive for being such a passionate Country Music fan, I could never stray from something that brings me so much joy, sense of belonging, and comfort. While this all might sound like a bit much (after reading it back, I would definitely make fun of myself), I would compare this to others who find the same feeling in rooting for their favorite sports team or in watching your favorite movie.

After going to college and obtaining a marketing degree and my MBA, I got a desk job in the business field and also continue to work a few days in retail. I needed an outlet to express my random thoughts to some people who hopefully care about Country Music as much as I do. I know there has to be some out there, so this is why I created this site.
